You come to noctok to talk (chat) about a topic (#tag) and you land on a door. A ring, a sign, a mailbox. What do you do?
I know where to click: I've been building this door since summer. For someone just arriving, nothing is obvious. The How it works page explains everything, but when you're discovering something, you'd rather try than read.
This tutorial actually comes from the feedback of a noctoker (yes, that's what we call ourselves here), lost on arrival and wanting an explanation right from the start.
So the first time you arrive, noctok takes you by the hand. One arrow, one sentence, one gesture at a time.
You use the handle and the sign turns green: you're available. You knock (Knock Knock) on the ring to see how a search starts. You open your mailbox and flip your first gift card. It gives you a tag suggestion. You suggest your first topic and it goes to a vote of the other noctokers.
In a few gestures you've seen the essentials and your first tag is already in play.
Not interested? One click and the tutorial is gone for good. Have to leave halfway through? You pick up at the same step when you come back. Once it's done, nothing's left on screen. The rest is yours to discover. The "info" icons are there if you're unsure.
I'm still listening: if something's missing, tell me on the Contact page.
And you, what would your first tag be?
Tutorial set, doubt cleared, more is on the way...
